Mission Trip Fundraiser

Hey fundraising family, I’m Julia and I’m Eric hello. And we’re here to talk to you guys today about a mission trip shoe drive fundraiser. So this story we have for you today is about one of our most recent partners, Danielle Jackson. If you were to meet Daniel Jackson everyone she knows says that she’s an energetic person. She used to be a social worker who is now a photographer and is very active in her community. Recently, one of her friends who’s a minister asked her if she’d be interested in traveling to Uganda to take pictures of a birthing center that was being opened there. But one of the hurdles she had to overcome in order to do that was raise three thousand dollars for the trip itself. How was she gonna do it? How was she gonna do it? I can take a guess. Oh So Danielle was looking for fun and unique fundraisers to do and she actually found Funds2Orgs on YouTube. So she watched us. What!? On camera and then decided, hi, and then decided to do a shoe drive fundraiser. So, Danielle decided to do the shoe drive fundraiser because she realized that it would allow her to help the people in Uganda and it would allow her to help people in developing countries, our micro entrepreneur partners. Yeah, she loved the idea of helping not only herself but supporting people all around the world. So since she was getting our stuff off at YouTube I’m assuming she found one of our tip videos because one of her first things that she did was to get on Facebook to push her idea of raising shoes. She found out she needed to get a hundred people to donate 25 shoes, which isn’t a very big goal. But, it’s easy to do if you reach out to your community. And we’ll put some of those tip videos down in the comments below. Kristy do this. Kristy we’re talking to you. Well, technically I do it. Okay you do it. So being a photographer, Danielle took a lot of pictures with her shoes, a lot of selfies, and she posted them on Facebook and use that to really advertise her she drive fundraiser. And then when people donated shoes, she had them posted their own pictures on Facebook and they tagged her in them and then she reshard them, which caused her shoe drive fundraiser to blow up on Facebook and in her community. Basically it exploded. Poof. That was my explosion. You like that? Poof. Those are good explosion. Poof. That’s from now on that to the sound. Okay. So like I mentioned before Danielle is a ball of energy and one of the things she did while she was doing the shoe drive fundraiser was get to know her local community. She talked to the people that were donating shoes and in doing that she created personal experiences with them and got them to talk to their friends. Which in turn got her more shoes. So one of the tips we have for you is make sure you reach out to your community when they’re helping you because if you help your community, they’ll help you. There’s a lot more to tell you, but Danielle’s leaving for her mission trip this month. So when she gets back We’ll follow up with her and we’ll let you guys know how it went. And we’re looking forward to seeing the pictures of that birthing center. But if you want more information or more success stories make sure you check out our blog and she’s gonna leave links for that down below. Make sure you like, share and subscribe. Okay Okay, okay today about a success story and a mission trip fundraiser we’re here to talk to you guys about leaving for her mission trip and All that stuff that she’s just mumbled good.
