Roanoke City Schools Help the Homeless Fundraisers

THERE ARE NEARLY 3-HUNDRED HOMELESS STUDENTS GOING TO ROANOKE CITY SCHOOLS THIS YEAR. WHILE THAT NUMBER HAS DROPPED FROM PREVIOUS YEARS… THERE IS STILL WORK TO DO. THE UNITED WAY RYSE PROGRAM HELPS FAMILIES OUT OF HOMELESSNESS… IT’S WHAT MANY OF YOU DONATED TO DURING OUR SUMMER TELETHON. BUT THE ROANOKE CITY SCHOOLS “HELP THE HOMELESS FUND”… ALSO HELPS FAMILIES WHO NEED AN EXTRA BOOST. RIGHT NOW… THIS PAINTING IS UP FOR AUCTION. LOCAL ARTIST— ADAM JOHNSON— PAINTED THE OIL PORTRAIT OF THE MILL MOUNTAIN STAR. YOU CAN BID ON THE ROANOKE CITY SCHOOLS FACEBOOK PAGE… RIGHT NOW THE BID IS AT $600. THERE IS ALSO A BREAKFAST WITH SANTA COMING UP… SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10TH AT WILLIAM FLEMING HIGH SCHOOL TO HELP LOCAL HOMELESS CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. WSLS 10 IS A PROUD SPONSOR. WE’VE POSTED MORE INFORMATION ON OUR WEBSITE… WSLS DOT COM OR THE WSLS 10 MOBILE APP. #
