About 4 ½ years ago, we were charged with the need to replace a legacy system that we’d been using for many years. When we switched to Financial Edge When we switched to Financial Edge NXT we were able to leverage the integrated platform that it offers as well as the tools to bring reporting into an Excel environment and so all of this integration and report enhancement has really made the financial reporting process more efficient, more timely to all of the stakeholders, whether it’s the internal management team or our board of directors and finance committee. The transition to Financial Edge NXT allowed us to use the integrated platform to use accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and all of those components together, along with enhanced reporting capabilities, including queries, standard reporting and more recently the dashboard reporting functions. Over the past year as an organization, we’ve been very focused on the environmental footprint that we have, and so we’ve moved in a direction of more paperless-oriented processing and that includes everything that we’re doing in the finance area. With the Financial Edge NXT capability of attaching documentation or embedding links to Sharepoint file locations, we’re able to get away from paper-based filing systems to an electronic record that supports the transactions. Our expectation is the organization will continue to grow as the population of older adults continues to grow and to diversify the services needed. So we will continue to work with Blackbaud in the financial realm to provide more efficient effective timely reporting to have our staff more focused on delivering services having good financial information on the back end to assess our success levels.
