COLLECTIONS AT THE EVENT RANGED FROM CLOTHES, SMALL APPLIANCES, FURNITURE, AND OTHER ITEMS FROM W-V-U STUDENTS MOVING OUT THEIR OF DORMS AND APARTMENTS FOR THE SUMMER. SERVANDO ARREDONDO – “THE GOAL IS TO KEEP AS MUCH STUFF OUT OF THE LANDFILL AS POSSIBLE. SO ANYTHING THAT COMES IN WE TRY TO PUT A PRICE ON IT AND GET IT SOLD. ALL OF THAT MONEY GOES INTO WVU’S CAMPAIGN FOR UNITED WAY, SO THAT MONEY GOES RIGHT BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY,” JUSTIN OVER LAST FIVE YEARS, THE BLUE AND GOLD SALE WAS ABLE TO RAISE MORE THAN $65,000 IN FUNDS.
